MuseumsQuartier Wien
As a partner of the MuseumsQuartier, Lumine has realised numerous projects in the MQ area since 2005. These include artistic installations on the exterior façade, the Leopold Museum, the interior façade, floor projections, video animations on the winter sky and panorama projections in the Ovalhalle. In addition to the free realisations, numerous exhibition announcements were also realised in the MQ.
Lumine is a cultural institution with its office in the Q21 Kulturbüros.

Main entrance façade
#StandWithUkraine
As a symbolic act of solidarity between the European Union and Ukraine, a light installation was installed on the façade of the MuseumsQuartier by Lumine.
Iran protests
As part of the solidarity with the Iranian women's movement, the Museumsquartier, in co-operation with Lumine, presented a message in support of women's rights.
Europe Day
On the occasion of Europe Day in May 2022, the front façade of the Museumsquartier was staged with projections by Lumine on behalf of the European Commission.
Brexit Referendum
When the UK voted to leave the EU in 2016, the MuseumsQuartier sent a signal of solidarity to symbolically oppose the UK's withdrawal from the EU. Lumine supported this campaign with a large-scale barrel projection in public space.
Leopold Museum Cooperations
Offen für Kunst
In November 2022, the Leopold Museum impressed its visitors with a three-dimensional neon sign projected by Lumine. The letters were animated with a slight flicker and created the illusion of a real neon sign on the building.
Was wirst Du fühlen?
The Leopold Museum's advertising campaign, which won several CCA awards, was also projected in the MQ. Statements by visitors to the museum were shown.
Exhibition opening
For the opening of the newly conceived permanent presentation
‘Vienna 1900 - The Dawn of Modernity’, Lumine presented a projection with a collage of images of the exhibits created especially for the exhibition.
Ovalhalle
360° Video Installation
The oval hall of the MQ can be illuminated artistically with a 360° panoramic projection. A projection technology of up to 11 video projectors specially adapted by Lumine can be used for static or moving projections.
MQ Programme Presentation
The MQ's 2025 annual programme was presented in the Ovalhalle. For this event, the space was transformed with changing 360° projections.
